Beginner's jitters

This model had never posed nude before, and was very nervous. She was also wearing an interesting wig, which was a dark auburn color. I made the wig purple in the painting, in order to really highlight its unnatural quality, as well as complement the orange tones of her skin.

This model had a great sense of humor. She said it was fun watching us paint her ... she was making fun of the faces we would make and our individual routines while going through the process of making a painting. When you're painting a model, it's easy to forget they are observing you too!

This model was very young and pretty. She looked like a fawn. She was an artist herself, and had just graduated from college.

The Runner

This model was amazing ... he was able to stand for 2 1/2 hours completely motionless. He was in good shape, too ... I heard he was a runner.
